Reminder of Important Changes: New Supply Chain QA Requirements Effective 2026

Reminder of FeedSafe Guidance Notification #11

Dear Suppliers, 

As part of our ongoing commitment to quality and feed safety, FeedSafe are implementing a new supply chain quality assurance (QA) requirement that will take effect on 1^st January 2026. These changes are designed to ensure that all our suppliers meet the highest standards of quality and animal feed safety thereby ensuring the Feed Industry provides safe and effective products. New Requirements for Suppliers of FeedSafe Certified Mills:

1. Additives: FeedSafe certified mills will need to purchase additives from businesses certified with one of the following QA programs:

   1. FeedSafe

   2. FAMI-QS

   3. APVMA GMP

   4. Or equivalent (Equivalence = a program with HACCP and GMP)

2. Rendered Products and Oils: FeedSafe certified mills will only be able to utilize rendered products and oils from businesses certified with the relevant following QA program:

   1. AS5008:2007 Hygienic rendering of animal products, or

   2. National Standard for Recycling of Used Cooking Fats and Oils Intended for Animal Feeds
